1469年，阿拉贡的斐迪南和卡斯蒂利亚的伊莎贝拉举办大婚，开启了西班牙统一的历史。Spain was formed in 1469 by the marriage of Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile. These two would oversee Christopher Columbus as he landed in the New World and claimed the lands for them. Between that time and nearly 20 years before the game start, Spain was the most powerful empire in the world, controlling much of what is now North and South America. However in 1807, Napoleon invaded and started the Peninsular wars, a devastating conflict which damaged much of mainland Spain and allowed their colonies to rebel. After the wars, only 古巴 and 菲律宾 remained, and Spain underwent a massive civil war, called the Carlist Wars, over who was the rightful king of Spain.

If Spain ceases to exist, it can be released by any country which controls its capital, Toledo, and at least one other Spanish homeland state. Its core states are the Spanish homelands, which comprise its starting states in the Iberia region. Spain can also be formed by any country below Kingdom tier with Spanish as a primary culture that controls 75% of the Spanish homelands.

Industry

Spain starts off with a lot of industry at game start, with nearly every single available building except for  Steel Mills.

Resources

Many of the northern states start off with a lot of mines and mining potential, with the  Gold Mine in Asturias being a great help. However, Spain itself lacks many discoverable resources, and will need to start colonising and fighting its neighbours to thrive. Spain can also build plantations in its  Colony Colonies and mainland states. Most agricultural goods can be created at home, although colonisation may be necessary for rarer resources.
